As Microsoft prepares for the launch of Windows 8, the new version of its operating system, it has announced a bold new identity that takes the iconic Windows logo back to its roots—as a window. 

By Windows 7, the logo had become more of a flag than a window. Working with Paula Scher at Pentagram we created a system of basic perspective and geometry that could work not only for Windows, but for the entire suite of titles under the Microsoft name.
